Since we began real estate investing in the 1970s, we've deployed more than a hundred million dollars across different sectors and partnerships. Over the last 15 years, we've developed a strategy of buying and selling real estate investments where demand has outpaced supply.

We replicated this success in the boat and RV storage space, and exited at the top of the market.

We're now focused on filling the supply shortage in housing with affordable options such as RV parks, tiny homes, and modular homes.

Meet the seasoned team behind McCanse Investments

George leads the team through strategic decisions, acquisitions, development and financing based on his career in commercial real estate that started in 1976. His property types and experience include:
  • Self-Storage – Created and sold 11-property self-storage portfolio from 2011 to 2019
  • Created and sold a portfolio of RV, Boat, and Commercial self-storage properties in Houston, Austin, and DFW in 2022.
  • Multi Family
  • Office Buildings (rental and condominiums), Commercial Land Subdivisions, and Homebuilding
  • Institutional Real Estate analysis and appraisal for pension funds. 
Former member of the Texas Self Storage Association Board of Directors, Pension Real Estate Association, the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, Appraisal Institute (MAI designation), and Counselors of Real Estate (CRE designation) organizations. He is or has been a sponsor or co-sponsor of approximately 23 real estate investments (no complaints, investigations, or disciplinary actions). University of Texas at Austin: Undergraduate specialization in real estate and MBA program. 
George McCanse

Founder and CEO

Tim oversees investor relations, operations, and marketing. He has over 20 years of executive experience. He's worked as the VP of Sales and Marketing for two successful consumer product startups. He was also on the executive team that acquired the original infomercial company, Ronco, out of bankruptcy and repositioned it as a global housewares brand. CEO of a multi-site, eCommerce company that he co-founded. His expertise includes land acquisition, strategic planning, consumer marketing, P&L maximization, fund raising / investor relations, M&A, and organizational development. Tim has his BS in Economics from Texas A&M and his MBA from University of North Carolina, Greensboro. He has been an active real estate investor in multi-family properties.
Tim Clarkson

Partner

Renee has over two decades of management experience, seventeen years of book keeping experience, and over ten years of experience in the self-storage industry, and four years of experience with RV Parks. She ensures the accuracy and timeliness of McCanse's financial reporting and performs thorough revenue and tenant file audits for McCanse owned assets as well as potential acquisitions. She is adept at establishing systems and processes needed for operations and personnel at newly acquired properties. Renee is also an enthusiastic RV’er.

Controller & Operations Oversight

Before joining McCanse Investments, Clay worked as a  construction estimator and project supervisor for general construction companies. Clay also has over four years of experience working in self-storage and RV Park development. He has his undergraduate and graduate degrees in engineering.
